Title: How much are people expecting to pay for apps? Post by: tiny on July 07, 2009, 04:00:46 AM
Just curious - are people expecting lots of things for $.99 or are they prepared to pay more. If so how much? I know, it depends on what it is - a vague answer will be useful as it help me determine how much time I'm going to spend developing form the Palm Pre vs the iPhone.

of course it depends on the app. A fart app=free. as a productive or added feature app like podcatcher etc, i would pay $5-8 I think most people, my self included, will have a hard time justifying more than $10 for a phone app. Probably $3-5 is the sweet spot. Mostly depend on app, but may be $3-5 sounds really sweet...
