Cards were inspired by the way one handles a deck of cards. In an actual deck of cards, cards can be fanned out to see which card is where. Within a deck, cards can be selected or removed or moved to another location by moving it between adjacent cards. The webOS card view works in a similar way by scrolling through card, selecting cards, flicking cards off the top to remove them or selecting and dragging a card to a new location.
