Update: February 6
It turns out that everything pointing to Dojo as the basis for the Mojo SDK was just an interesting series of coincidences. Blast Radius (the company that redesigned Palm's website) uses a proprietary framework called mojo that IS based on dojo. So we still have little information about the the Mojo SDK.
But you can still learn a lot about webOS development from our tutorials, which are based on what Palm HAS said about the Mojo framework. So check them out!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Palmwebosblog has pulled together some compelling evidence to suggest that the webOS Mojo SDK will be based on the Dojo Javascript toolkit. From the Dojo website:
Dojo is an Open Source DHTML toolkit written in JavaScript. ... You can use the components that Dojo provides to make your web sites more usable, responsive, and functional. With Dojo you can build degradable user interfaces more easily, prototype interactive widgets quickly, and animate transitions. You can use the lower-level APIs and compatibility layers from Dojo to write portable JavaScript and simplify complex scripts. Dojo’s event system, I/O APIs, and generic language enhancement form the basis of a powerful programming environment.
They then go on to point out that a mojo.js file from Palm's site was using the Dojo framework and that "Mojo" may be a short form of "Mobile Dojo". On top of all that, a blog post by an employee at Blast Radius, the company that developed the Palm Pre marketing strategy for webOS and Mojo, confirmed that Mojo is indeed based on Dojo.
So what does that mean for us webOS developers? Well, the first thing it means that the webOS tutorials I posted yesterday could use an update! Also, it means that by going through the tutorials from beginning to end, you will almost certainly have all the knowledge and experience for developing webOS applications that you could possibly have without having the actual SDK! So, what are you waiting for? Get over there and start learning!

But is it still possible that this Mojo SDK may also be based on Dojo? Or has that been completely ruled out? Dojo is a pretty robust toolkit at this point and the naming of Mojo seems suspiciously coincidental...
Anyway, I'm just glad I don't have to use Codewarrior C programming anymore!
